Fall in Love with Seacoast Menus

Fall in Portsmouth has a way of showing off. Not just through crudely carved pumpkin smiles, but through chefs’ menus, too!

Around the Seacoast, local restaurants are leaning into the season with squash, apples, mushrooms, maple, cider and other things that make you want to put on a sweater and sit somewhere cozy for a while.

Here are a few fall flavors currently showing up on menus on area menus. And yes, there is pumpkin. We are not evil.

Start With Pumpkin Ravioli at Tinos Kitchen + Bar

At Tinos Kitchen + Bar in Hampton, the fall 2026 menu is making a pretty convincing case for pumpkin ravioli. It’s served with hazelnuts, brown butter and sage — three things that have no business being bad together.

Tinos also has New England-raised duck breast with sweet potato skordalia and an Iberian pork chop with a butternut fritter, so apparently fall has moved into the entire kitchen.

At LANEY & LU, Fall Gets a Little Crunchier

The Fall Harvest Salad brings together Brussels sprouts, figs, apples, pickled red onion, goat cheese, pepitas, honey pecans and apple cider vinaigrette.

So, basically, somebody put a New England farmers market in a bowl.

If you’re more of an acai-bowl person, there’s a pumpkin version, too. Fall comes for everybody eventually.

Save Room for Pumpkin Cake at Vida Cantina

At Vida Cantina, the seasonal flavors take a turn toward dessert.

The heirloom pumpkin cake comes with fall spices and pumpkin-purée whipped cream. There’s also a vanilla cake option with cinnamon apple compote.

Fall in a Bowl at Shearwater at Stage Neck Inn

Head to York and Shearwater at Stage Neck Inn is serving up an Autumn Risotto with red kabocha squash, roasted carrot, maple coconut butter and garlic herb crumbs.

And if you’re thinking, Well, that’s dinner sorted, the bar has clearly had similar thoughts.

Fall cocktails include Cider & Spice, Fireside Maple, Golden Orchard and Fall in Manhattan. In other words, there are several ways to drink your way into sweater weather.

More Savory, Less Pumpkin at The Carriage House

At The Carriage House in nearby Rye, fall isn’t necessarily shouting “PUMPKIN!” from across the room. Instead, you’re getting things like braised lamb shoulder with cranberry beans, turnips and lamb demi.

There’s also mushroom toast featuring local mushrooms, herbs and demi-glace.

It’s the sort of food that makes you want to linger a little longer at the table. Maybe order another glass of wine. And don’t forget to look across the street at that ocean!

And menus change — sometimes quickly — so consider this your nudge to check what’s cooking before you head out.

Fall doesn’t officially arrive until Sept. 22, but around here, it looks like the restaurants got a little head start.
